Cistern Maintenance
Regular cleaning, disinfection and bacterial testing are part of caring for a cistern. Use a reputable potable-water delivery service and follow Alberta Health Services’ cleaning and disinfection instructions.

Bacterial testing is separate from our in-store water analysis. Our free test measures TDS, pH, hardness, iron and manganese; it does not test for bacteria or E. coli. Find AHS sampling guidance.
